ALPHETON HALL BARNS - Historic Wedding Venue
Whilst we are dedicated to retaining the "historic barn" atmosphere and charm of the setting, we are also keen to continually improve and adapt the setting to take account of your comments and requirements so as to provide you with a more memorable day and we are looking to build up a stock of props and decorations.
From February 2011 The Registrar will allow Civil Ceremonies to be booked more than 1 year in advance !!
Our wedding venue's first proper season is now well under way and we are almost fully booked for 2011, with bookings flooding in for 2012 & 2013. We never expected this level of popularity or demand. Thank you to all those who have demonstated their confidence in us to help make your special day even more special.
Christmas and the New Year 2011 / 12 has been spent planting 2,000 trees and hedging plants in landscaping the grassland to the front of the barns (only 450 left to plant)

AHB hosted a charity Dinner Dance on 21st January 2012 - In celebration of "Robbie Burns". This was a full fledged traditional Scottish Dinner Dance with a Live Scottish Band and Dancing, appropriate Scottish Food provided by the Grid, and a Highland Piper.
The proceeds of £2,109.34 are being donated to St Nicholas Hospice and the parish Churches of Alpheton and Shimplingthorne.
Following the sell out of this event, it is intended to hold this event again next year, with tickets beign sold on a first come first served basis. Email us for tickets
We now have a digital projector and can back project slide shows etc to spice up those speeches with embarassing photos of the happy couple's youth! We have also beefed up our PA system with a pair of 600 w amplifed active speakers.
